The New Homestead

The New Homestead has served Guthrie Center and surrounding communities for over 40 years with a commitment to care for those who are unable to care for themselves and to provide affordable services in a home-like atmosphere, always concerned with the Quality of Care and the Quality of Life of the individuals we are serving.

Our dedicated staff with an average tenure of 10 years desires to provide the type of care they would expect if the roles were reversed. As health care professionals we desire to make you or your loved one’s stay a comfortable and secure one because “Caring is the Heart of Our Home.

Alzheimer's House                                            

Within our facility we have a Alzheimer's House that holds up to 16 residents.  This is a locked unit that provides a safe and secure living environment for our residents.  When the weather is nice residents are allowed to walk around and enjoy our secure courtyards.  Within the household the resident's enjoy several activities throughout the day.  Our staff in the Alzheimer's House strive to make it a "Home-Like Atmosphere".

Homestead Acres

Homestead  Acres is Committed...
To care for those who want to live an independent life-style but may need some assistance with life’s daily living tasks;

To provide affordable services in a home-like atmosphere;

To continually improve the Quality of Care and the Quality of Life of the individuals we are serving;

You will have your own apartment and you may furnish it just like you would a home.  However, unlike living in other places, you will have the security of knowing that a licensed staff is available 24 hours a day to care for your needs. We provide levels of service to allow you to get the assistance you need.

There are no hidden charges. You will know before you commit exactly what your charges will be and when and how often those charges will be reviewed. You can make changes to your service selections at any time.

Independent Living             

Independent Living allows you to live in an apartment of your own.  In your apartment you are able to decorate it and furnish it to your own liking. 

Weekly housekeeping, maintenance, Lawn Care, and Snow Removal is provided by our facility.   Noon meals are also provided Monday thru Friday. 

In Independent Living if you require Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy it is available at The New Homestead.
